Fall is here and it is time to enjoy all the beautiful fall colors that are warm and cozy. The coppers, golden rod and warm shades of brown. All of the nature-inspired colors that we incorporate into our fall decorations and sometimes fabrics that we surround ourselves with.
Here is a list of the areas you can enhance for the fall season when you are decorating. 1. Entrances 2. Fireplace mantels 3. Bathrooms 4. Kitchens 5. Family rooms 6. Bedrooms
All these areas can be warm and welcoming with fall colors. Use items like blankets, towels, table cloths and floral arrangements that you already have. Decide on three different colors that you will use for your color scheme. For example, (brown, cranberry and gold) or (black, copper & gold), etc. Use them in each of these areas. If you have something that is not the right color you can paint it the color you want. My welcome sign has been many colors through the years. It is amazing what a simple can of paint can do. Use your imagination. Take that brown crock you have hidden in the back shed and put purple and orange flowers in it for your front porch. I am going to be bringing in my bird bath made from stone and concrete by my great grandfather and my father and placing a glass round on top of it for a table in my family room or entrance. I am going to fill it with pine cones and dried orange and cranberry-color florals so that the colors will show through. If you have a favorite wicker basket but the color is wrong, you can spray paint that as well. There are many creative ideas right in your closets, sheds or even garages. Just be consistent with your colors and you will be successful.
Enjoy warming up your spaces. I know your family and guests will notice.
